Thursday the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum will be dedicated in Dallas on the campus of Southern Methodist University. It is the country’s 13th official presidential library and the third in Texas. The $250 million dollar, 14,000 square foot building highlights the two terms of the 43rd president of the United States. There is a replica of the Oval Office and a recreation of the White House Rose Garden. Among the artifacts on display are some of the 43,000 gifts the President and First Lady received while in Washington, the bullhorn the president used at ground zero following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and a Florida butterfly ballot from the contested 2000 election.
With the opening of the Library, CNN Political Producer Mike Roselli, who covered that 2000 campaign, dug into his political archives for some Bush memorabilia.
